According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the number of students enrolled in kindergarten in 2017 was almost double the number in 2015.
The number of kindergartens in the United States has doubled in the last 20 years.
The rise in kindergartener enrollment has coincided with a decrease in poverty rates in the US.
As of 2020, the percentage of households headed by people over the age of 65 was 25.8%, down from 27.5% in 2000.
