New trailer for ‘Kitties’ by Jennifer Nolen shows the adorable new version of the preschool-age cartoon characters, and the kids are learning more about the world.
“Kittie” is a play on the word “kinder” (meaning “cousin”) and “cop” (which is a police officer) that was popularized in the 1970s by the late filmmaker and writer John Waters.
“Cop Kids” has been renewed for a second season, which will premiere in 2017.
Nolen said in a statement, “We are very excited about ‘Kittycop Kids,’ a story about two little kids who grow up in a small town, where a girl who is the only cop in town gets killed and two cops are brought in to solve the case.
It’s about two kids, who have no friends or anything like that, and what happens when they discover that they are both innocent.
It also shows the love and support of the community.”
“Kitty Cop Kids” is set to be a sequel to Nolen’s 2010 movie “Kitten Cop Kids,” which starred Sarah Silverman, Jessica Lange, John Goodman and Zachary Quinto.
“The movie was very popular and the series has been a hit in the movie theater,” Nolen continued.
“We just felt like this was a perfect opportunity to make a sequel and take the movie to a whole new audience.”
“We’re very excited to be doing this,” Nossens mother, Nancy, said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
“It’s very hard to make an original animated series that you haven’t been able to do before.
It is a different experience and the story is really different.”
Nolen will be working with director John Rauch on the new show, which is being produced by “Keegan-Michael Key Productions” and will star Nolen and the late Amy Sedaris.
“Jennifer is a fantastic artist and writer, so it’s going to be great to see her take on this,” Rauchell told The Hollywood Reporter, adding that he’s also looking forward to working with Nolen.
“This is a great opportunity to take ‘Kittens’ and create something completely new for kids,” he added.
“If you are a parent, this is a good way to get in touch with your kids.”
